Emblaze Semiconductor and TTPCom Develop Multimedia Mobile Phone Platform
Integrated Platform Speeds Time To Market And Reduces Costs For Cell Phone Makers
Ra’anana, Israel and Melbourn, UK – Sept. 22, 2003 – Emblaze Semiconductor, a leading provider of mobile multimedia and application ICs, and TTPCom Ltd., the world’s leading independent supplier of digital wireless communications technology, today announced the development of an integrated platform to provide brand name and OEM/ODM handset makers with a fully featured multimedia mobile phone solution. The collaboration between Emblaze Semiconductor and TTPCom utilises Emblaze Semiconductor’s ER452x line of multimedia processors and TTPCom’s GSM/GPRS/EDGE/3G protocol and applications software. Two platforms are in development to provide multimedia capabilities in feature-rich and smart mobile phone devices.
