StarGen to use Rambus RaSer PHY for Advanced Switching Interconnect ProductsStarXpress(TM) family of Advanced Switching switches and bridges to utilize Rambus PCI Express 2.5Gbps PHY Los Altos,CA - November 10, 2003 - Rambus Inc. (Nasdaq:RMBS), the leading provider of chip-to-chip interface products and services, and StarGen, a semiconductor company that supplies advanced serial switched interconnect solutions, today announced that StarGen is using Rambus's RaSer PHY IP in the development of its StarXpress(tm) product line, based on the forthcoming Advanced Switching (AS) standard. The StarXpress family of switches will provide high-bandwidth serial switched solutions for next-generation storage, server, communication and embedded system designs."Our family of scalable Advanced Switching products will provide flexible port count and width configurations based on 2.5Gbps PCI Express lanes.
