MIPS Technologies and WIS Technologies Enter into Strategic Licensing Agreement for MIPS-Based Technology
MOUNTAIN VIEW, January 15, 2003 - MIPS Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: MIPS) and WIS Technologies, Inc., a pioneer in the development of superior hardware and software solutions for the multimedia communications market, today announced that the two companies have entered into a licensing agreement where WIS Technologies will incorporate a 32-bit core from MIPS Technologies in its future product line of products for the high-growth digital consumer marketplace.
To date, more than 100 licenses have been completed for the industry-standard MIPS® architectures and cores since MIPS Technologies became publicly traded.
