MIPS Technologies Forms Alliance with DNP to Offer SOC Design Services

DNP Licenses 32- and 64-Bit MIPS® Processor Cores to Offer Turnkey SOC Solutions That will Speed Development of Advanced Office Automation And Digital Consumer Applications

TOKYO, Japan, April 7, 2004 - MIPS Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: MIPS) and Dai Nippon Printing Co, Ltd. (DNP) today announced that they have formed an alliance where DNP will provide comprehensive System On Chip (SOC) design services utilizing the MIPS32® 4KE processor family and MIPS64® 5Kc™ and 5Kf™ cores. DNP will use these technologies to offer customers developing SOCs for leading-edge consumer applications turnkey solutions that will radically cut development time and help them get to market faster.
