New MagmaTies Partner Offers Rich Portfolio of Silicon-Proven, Analog and Mixed Signal Cores

(Nasdaq:LAVA), a provider of chip design solutions, today announced that ChipIdea Microelectronica, S.A., a leading analog and mixed-signal intellectual property (IP) and system-on-chip (SoC) solutions provider, has joined the MagmaTies program. As an IP provider in the MagmaTies program, ChipIdea will take its cores through the "Magma-Ready" IP verification process. This will ensure that ChipIdea's cores can be integrated into mutual customers' SoC designs.

To qualify, hard IP providers such as ChipIdea must import industry-standard views into the Magma design environment and check that logical and physical data and process rules are consistent. Timing model compatibility must be verified, and routing feasibility and performance analyses must be run to ensure quality of results.
