NetEffect Selects eInfochips as a Design Services Partner for Next Generation Ethernet Solution
eInfochips to develop software & build the test automation infrastructure for testing various communication protocols
Santa Clara, CA - April 04, 2005 - eInfochips, Inc., a leading provider of ASIC design and verification services, IP cores and embedded systems solutions, today announced that it has been selected by NetEffect, an Austin, Texas-based leader in developing high-performance networking solutions, to develop the test automation infrastructure and offer software services for a variety of protocol stacks and drivers for high-performance, multi-gigabit Ethernet applications for Data Centers. eInfochips has been selected because of their technical expertise and proven project management skills.
eInfochips' test infrastructure supports testing of various protocols and drivers in the user kernel space and different DUT configurations. Some of the protocols are TCP/IP, Sockets, RDMA (iWarp), iSCSI, DAPL and MPI. The test infrastructure also helps in testing multiple configurations in a shorter time and with improved quality. eInfochips is also developing the SNMP based management interface for NetEffect software and RNIC hardware.
"The market for high-performance iWarp Ethernet products is highly competitive and as a startup, we were looking for partners that understood what we are trying to do and had complementary skills to help us bring this product to market quickly," said Rick Maule, CEO of NetEffect. "We found that partner in eInfochips."
"Efficient project monitoring is one of eInfochips' core strengths, according to Pratul Shroff, CEO eInfochips', "AOM, our Global Outsourcing Delivery Model, provides a framework for periodic checkpoints, early-alert systems, continuous feedback mechanisms coupled with a forward planning process. AOM delivers significant time and cost benefits and is the key to our customer's satisfaction."
