BOPS Names Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Director of Corporate Communications
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.----Sept. 6, 2000--Billions of Operations Per Second, Inc. (BOPS), a leading programmable DSP core provider, today announced that it has named Daniel V. Hauck as executive vice president of worldwide sales and Anita Giani as director of corporate communications.
BOPS develops and licenses high-performance programmable digital signal processing (DSP) cores as well as provides top tier OEMs with hardware, software tools and engineering support to quickly and efficiently design Internet, multimedia and communications products using the BOPS ManArray(TM) DSP core family.

As vice president of worldwide sales, Hauck will be responsible for establishing BOPS' worldwide sales team in coordinating, supporting and managing the successful integration and deployment of BOPS' DSP IP solutions into its focused customers and partners. Hauck has more than 20 years experience in sales, business development and engineering most recently serving as vice president of worldwide sales for NeoMagic Corporation in Santa Clara, Calif. While there, he was responsible for $250 million in sales revenues in the multimedia, graphics, digital imaging and storage arenas for the mobile computing and consumer electronics markets. Before this, he held a variety of positions with Cirrus Logic Incorporated, (Fremont, Calif.) including vice president of Asia Pacific sales and business development, vice president of worldwide technical sales, area sales manager and western area sales manager. Before this, he held engineering positions at Technology Marketing Incorporated in Irvine, Calif. and Rockwell International in Anaheim, Calif. Hauck holds a bachelor's of electronic engineering technology from the Ohio Institute of Technology.
As director of corporate communications, Giani will oversee the creation and implementation of the company's strategic and tactical messaging for all communications activities including public relations, collateral development and advertising. She will also serve as primary interface with technical and business trade press and analysts. Giani has more than 25 years experience in communications and most recently served as regional manager of public relations for Siemens Corporation in Santa Clara, Calif. Her responsibilities included managing a corporate regional agency that provided strategic counsel and tactical support to Siemens operating companies located on the West Coast. Prior to this, she held public relations positions with Aspect Telecommunications in San Jose, Calif. and Northern Telecom. Giani holds a BA in communications from the University of Alabama and an MBA from the Massey School of Business, Belmont College in Nashville, Tenn.
