CSR's BlueCore5-Multimedia now available with Aurisound's Adaptive Focus-Beam noise cancellation technology
Aurisound's AFB represents a breakthrough in acoustic technology as it works independently to the noise source. Through the use of a focused directional beam, AFB enables Bluetooth devices to achieve real-time adaptive response to any acoustic environment, with no distortion. AFB improves clarity for better voice quality as well as improved intelligibility for voice recognition. The reduction of ambient noise also improves voice-encoding efficiency over a Bluetooth link. In addition, Aurisound's 2-mic noise cancellation algorithm uses as few as 10-MIPS and has no restrictions on distance between microphones.
Due to the high performance on-chip DSP, CSR's BlueCore5-Multimedia platform is the only Bluetooth platform available which can support such variety of third-party audio enhancement algorithms, offered through eXtension. In addition, BlueCore5-Multimedia provides superior sound quality with a best-in-class signal to noise ratio of -95dB. BlueCore5-Multimedia also leads the industry for power consumption and radio design.
Anthony Murray, Senior Vice President of CSR's Wireless Audio Strategic Business Unit commented, "The power and flexibility of BlueCore5-Multimedia has enabled CSR to bring third-party innovation and the latest technological capabilities to its customers' devices. By combining CSR's BlueCore technology and Aurisound's acoustic expertise, customers are assured that their devices will achieve the highest levels of connectivity, usability and sound quality."
Dashen Fan, President and CEO of Aurisound commented, "As consumer expectation for high quality voice capabilities increases, Aurisound's AFB technology meets and exceeds the demand. By working with CSR's BlueCore5-Multimedia platform, customers receive a complete solution that provides industry-leading performance."
Aurisound can provide both single and dual microphone technologies that offer echo and noise cancellation for a variety of products, such as speakerphones, PDAs and computers,
