Cadence Selects Wipro-Newlogic's Wireless LAN IP For Its SoC Functional Verification Kit

Lustenau, Austria - Aug. 27, 2007 - Wipro-NewLogic, the semiconductor IP business unit of Wipro Technologies, today announced that Cadence Design Systems, Inc., the leader in global electronic-design innovation, is licensing Wipro-NewLogic’s IEEE 802.11 a/b/g MAC and Modem for integration into its SoC Functional Verification Kit. By selecting Wipro-NewLogic technology to be integrated into the wireless segment representative design included with the kit, Cadence® is giving designers the verification capabilities they need to solve the challenges associated with developing and verifying an 802.11 WLAN-enabled SoC.

The kit includes complete example verification plans, transaction-level and cycle-accurate models, design and verification IP, scripts and libraries--all proven on a wireless segment representative design. The Wipro-NewLogic IP solution features low-power operation and support for the latest Wi-Fi® specifications like WPA2™ and WMM®.
