KABEN appoints Tom Willey to the Board of Advisors
Ottawa, Ontario -- May 14, 2009 -- Kaben Wireless Silicon Inc, one of the industry's leading wireless semiconductor design companies, announced today the appointment of Tom Willey to the company’s Board of Advisors.
"Over the past eight years, Kaben has successfully developed key elements of the reconfigurable transceiver technology, including a unique on-chip tunable filter and high-performance synthesizer products", said Paul Slaby, President & CEO of Kaben Wireless Silicon. As an accomplished high-tech executive and entrepreneur, Tom Willey brings over 20 years of experience in marketing, sales and engineering in the RF semiconductor industry.
Currently Tom is the Managing Partner at TWP, where he leads a team of experienced executives offering business development services to technology companies. Prior to founding TWP, Tom was President and CEO of Discera, where he is credited with developing and delivering the industry’s first fully production qualified MEMS based clock timing solution for the high volume consumer market. Tom has successfully led efforts in all aspects of the semiconductor industry including product strategy and vision, product development through customer design wins and order fulfillment. Tom has also held leadership positions with Innovics Wireless, Philips Semiconductor VLSI and National Semiconductors. Tom has a bachelor’s degree with honors (1st Class) in electronics engineering from Paisley University, Paisley, UK, and a master’s degree in electronics from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, UK.
