Chips&Media and Innofidei Unveil New Chip Design for CMMB in China Market
Innofidei’s ARM-based new chip design used a Chips&Media’s BodaDx Video IP core family as a video engine supports CMMB standard and video decoding such as H.264, MPEG-4.
“We were very pleased that had achieved first silicon success in china market. We have adopted by 5 more China based semiconductor companies since 2007 and expect these unit shipment and royalty growth to continue as the explosive market opportunity in China.” said Steve Kim, Chips&Media’ CEO.
According to MIIT, China’s mobile TV market was predicted to reach over USD 2.5billion in 2011, and CMMB(China Multimedia Mobile Broadcasting), the Chinese-developed digital mobile broadcasting standard, was growing quickly in China.
