SAN JOSE, Calif. -- There are reports that Apple Inc. has acquired another IC design house, this time, Intrinsity Inc.
There are other reports that engineers from Intrinsity have joined Apple. The reports, first broke by EDN, claims that Intrinsity may have had a hand in developing the ''A4'' microprocessor for Apple's iPad. The ''A4'' is based on the ARM Cortex technology, some believe.
Formed in 1997, Intrinsity (Austin, Texas) is a developer of domino logic for embedded cores, based on its Fast14 technology.
