Avant Technology Inc. Will Represent Cortus at D&R IP-SoC Days 2011 - Shanghai
Montpellier, France, 16th August 2011 -- Avant Technology Inc. will be representing Cortus SA and presenting their APS3 processor IP at D&R IP-SoC Days 2011 in Shanghai (http://www.design-reuse.com/ipsocdays/shanghai/) on September 1, 2011.
Wolfox Yang will present “Native 32 bit performance ... at 8 bit cost”. This exciting presentation shows that nearly all system-on-chip designs can benefit from Cortus’ native 32 bit processing solution and will not exceed the design costs of designing in an 8 bit CPU, yet have all the advantages of using a modern processor. He will show that choosing the Cortus APS3 processor will reduce design costs, project risk and time to market.

32-Bit SPARC V8 Processor |
The Cortus APS3 is a high performance 32-bit processor designed specifically for embedded systems. It features a tiny silicon footprint (the same size as an 8051), very low power consumption, high code density and high performance (up to 1.67 DMIPS/MHz, 1.90 CoreMarks*). The ecosystem around the APS3 is rich and well developed, and it includes peripherals commonly used in embedded systems, bus bridges to ensure easy interfacing to other IP and system support and functions such as cache and memory management units. A full development environment (for C and C++) is available, which can be customized and branded for final customer use. For the most demanding designs the APS3 can be used in a multi-core configuration. The APS3 processor core is currently in production in a range of products from security applications to ultra low power RF designs.
