Silicon Infusion's HDRM-D2 Demodulator gets 256QAM Option
October 6, 2011 -- The Zaltys High Performance Enhanced Demodulator (HDRM-D2) now has the capability of demodulating 256QAM, further increasing the data rate that can be handled by this versatile core. When used with Xilinx Virtex-6 technology, the core is capable of operation at clock rates in excess of 250MHz, resulting in a maximum symbol rate of 100MS/s, which in combination with 256QAM operation leads to a maximum bit rate of 800Mb/s.
The high resolution data path and integrated adaptive equaliser features of the HDRM-D2 core make it ideally suited to recover high-order modualtion schemes such as 256QAM.
256QAM is an optional addition to the functionality of the HDRM-D2 core, and should be requested at time of order.
