M31 Technology Corporation announces acquisition of ISO9001:2008 certification ensuring IP quality
Hsinchu, Taiwan – October 30th, 2013 -- M31 Technology Corporation announces that its quality management system has attained the ISO9001:2008 certification, and that it has implemented the total quality management (TQM) system for research and development, sales, customer service, and Intellectual Property (IP) management.
ISO 9001:2008 edition emphasizes eight quality management principles, including customer focus, leadership, involvement of people, process approach, system approach to management, continual improvement, factual approach to decision making, and mutually beneficial supplier relationships. Through this system, M31 makes its IP development, sales and service processes more streamlined and rational. It also establishes standardized processes to make continuous improvement of quality. These standardized processes include management responsibility, resource management, silicon IP realization, measurement, analysis and improvement. Based on its compliance with the quality requirements, M31 was granted ISO 9001:2008 certification by the authorized third party TUV NORD.
Hsiao-Ping Lin, the Chairman of M31, indicates, “Our quality management system was established especially for developing and managing boutique IP. We need to make sure that every IP we deliver meets strict quality standard and creates high values to our customers.”
M31 is devoted to the full spectrum of innovative IP development, verification and validation, and its products have been certified by the USB-IF and other international associations. M31 has also joined strategic alliances with first-tier foundries and participated in the IP Validation Center Program, providing customers with IP solutions which meet specifications and pass validation. The current products include fundamental IP like memory compilers, cell libraries, and the high-speed interface such as USB2.0 PHY, USB3.0 PHY, and the MIPI M-PHY for mobile applications. Most products have successfully entered mass production and penetrated the supply chains of IC design companies in Taiwan, North America, Europe, China and Korea.
By the total quality management (TQM) system and the continuous improvement process of PDCA (Plan - Do - Check - Act), M31 will continue to provide boutique IP with high quality and high values to satisfy customers’ needs.
