(TAIEX: 6233), a fast-growing IC design house, today announced that Prolific is delivering USB2.0 single-chip products to a top Japanese system company, using Faraday's USB2.0 PHY IP and ASIC back-end design service.

With Faraday's professional supports on the IC manufacturing and Prolific's solid back-end QA flow, all the USB2.0 IC products can be processed to mass-production stage in a short period to help customers to achieve the timeto- market target. These USB2.0 Single-Chip ICs could be used in a broad range of applications include: PC peripherals, storage interfaces, multimedia, and communications.
About Faraday's USB IP Roadmap
Along with already available USB1.1/2.0 Transceiver (PHY) and Controller IPs which are silicon-proven in UMC 0.25um and 0.18um CMOS process as well as certified by USB-IF, Faraday's portfolio of USB solutions will soon include: USB2.0 PHY and Controller IPs implementing on UMC 130-nm process, and USB2.0 OTG (On-the-Go) PHY and Controller IPs implementing on 0.25um, 0.18um, and 0.13um process. Faraday's 0.13um USB2.0 PHY IP and USB OTG Controller IP are going to be available in the third quarter this year.
