Huawei Technologies today asked a U.S. District Court to prevent Motorola from illegally transferring Huawei's intellectual property (IP) to Nokia Siemens Networks. Huawei took this action as NSN seeks to complete its US$1.2 billion acquisition of Motorola's wireless network business.

WiLAN and LG Settle Wireless Patent Litigation (Thursday Dec. 23, 2010)
Wi-LAN today announced that WiLAN has settled all pending wireless patent litigation with LG. As a result of the settlement, LG has obtained a multi-year license to certain patents of WiLAN. LG will make a series of fixed cash payments to WiLAN.

Silicon Valley technologist and legendary inventor Charles H. Moore announced that he has filed suit in Superior Court of Santa Clara, CA against the TPL Group and Alliacense LLC, patent licensing firms based in Cupertino, CA, alleging fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, and breach of contract.

MOSAID Announces Cisco Complaint (Tuesday Aug. 17, 2010)
MOSAID today announced that Cisco filed a Complaint for Declaratory Judgment in the United States District Court for the District of Delaware. In its complaint, Cisco is seeking a declaration of non-infringement and invalidity with respect to nine U.S. patents and one patent application owned by MOSAID, and which relate generally to Power-over-Ethernet technology.

MagSil and Western Digital Settle Patent Infringement Lawsuit (Thursday Jul. 29, 2010)
